About the role

This position provides support services for identified students assigned to select regular and/or special education environments. The Special Education Assistant will work collaboratively with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers to provide students with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.

Schedule

• 7 hours per day during the school year only
• Position begins August 13, 2026

Pay

• Starting hourly rate: $20.70/hour (2026-2027 School Year, per Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Requirements

• 48 credits of post-secondary education, an Associate’s Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment
• Current clearances required:
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA Criminal Record Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
• Successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment physical and TB test
