About the role

We seek candidates to fill a Special Education Assistant position at Ingomar Elementary School, effective immediately. A Special Education Assistant will provide support services for identified students assigned to select regular and/or special education environments and will work collaboratively with Inclusion Facilitators, Special Education Teachers, and Regular Education Teachers to provide students with academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support.

Schedule

• 7 hours per day during the school year only

Pay

• Starting hourly rate: $20.70/hour (2026-2027 School Year, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Requirements

• 48 credits of post-secondary education, an Associate’s Degree, or successful completion of the state-approved competency assessment by the end of the first year of hire
• Current clearances required:
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA Criminal Record Check
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
• Successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment physical and TB test
