Special Education (12:1:1) Teacher - Elementary School (1.0 FTE)

Start date: August 31, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year. Itinerant location: Fredonia Elementary School.

Required certifications: Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6, Students with Disabilities (All Grades), or Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 (All Grades preferred).

About the role

Full-time (1.0 FTE) Special Education Teacher for a 12:1:1 elementary classroom (Grade 1).

Responsibilities

• Provide 12:1:1 instruction in core academics (ELA and Math).
• Write IEP goals and track progress through data monitoring.
• Coordinate and collaborate with grade-level teachers.
• Apply strong classroom and behavior management skills grounded in PBIS.
• Support the mission, vision, and core beliefs of the Fredonia Central School District.

Pay

Starting salary: minimum $44,066 base (actual salary dependent upon credentials, master’s degree, and years of experience in public education).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:35 AM–3:35 PM.
