Special Ed Teacher

About the role

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, contract position in Federal Way, WA. The position involves an elementary resource split, supporting students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, in addition to the current full-time Special Educator at the respective buildings.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs in a variety of educational settings
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other special education professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Provide direct instruction and support to students
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid teaching license in the state of Washington
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
• Experience with data collection and analysis
• Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes
