Special Access Program Security Officer
Position Overview
QinetiQ is looking for a Special Access Program Security Officer to support our USASSE customer at Ft. Belvoir.
Responsibilities
- Implement, enforce, and maintain security policies in accordance with the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), ICD 705 standards, and DoD Manual 5205.07.
- Manage personnel security records, initiate program access requests (PARs), and conduct indoctrinations and debriefings (For SAP, by doctrine must be on appointment orders as a Special Access Program Personnel Security Official (SPO, USASSE and Army SAPCO will appoint once contract complete)).
- SPO Training cert through CDSE, 2nd attachment.
- Manage SCIF/SAPF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility/Special Access Program Facility) access, conduct daily security checks, monitor alarm systems, and manage visitor control.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, inventory, and destruction of classified documents and COMSEC material.
- Carry out internal self-inspections and prepare the facility for annual government audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Conduct security briefings, training, and education programs to ensure employees are aware of their security responsibilities.
- Respond to, investigate, and resolve security incidents and violations.
- Additional Mandatory training: SAP Overview / Introduction to SAP / SAP Mid-Level.
Requirements
- Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance #qinetiqclearedjob
- Minimum of 7 years security-related experience, preferably in a DOD or federal environment.
- Minimum three (3) years experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Special Security Representative supporting the USG.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to actively communicate with co-workers, program leadership, and clients.
- Experience in the operations, physical security assessments and inspections.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and constantly changing setting, providing support to VIP customers to include 3/4 Star Generals, SES civilians, and Presidential Appointees staff; as well as other DA customer users and their VTC participants.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $94,100 - $143,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
