Spec. Purchasing (Surgical Hospital)

About the role

The Purchasing Specialist utilizes blanket purchase agreements, standing orders, corporate credit card and purchase orders to acquire services, material, equipment, and construction in support of health care operations for the Hospital.

Skills

• Proficient with computerized purchasing/inventory systems.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Experience

• Three years of experience as a purchasing clerk or commodity buyer, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Certifications

• Certification in Purchasing, Contracting, or Logistics (preferred).

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Associate’s degree in a related field (preferred).
