We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to join our highly collaborative, fast-paced Studio 431 Customs team onsite in Kalamazoo, MI. This is a hybrid position requiring you to be on-site four days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate early supplier involvement for manufacturability and award of business per overall Landscape Forms commodity strategy.
  • Provide timely support of production needs.
  • Collaborate within the Studio 431 team to complete projects on time, with reliable, high-quality, total cost-competitive sources.
  • Support Supply Chain objectives: drive activities to align with commodity strategies and sourcing values (e.g., Sustainability, Risk Management).
  • Create and execute continuous improvement projects to enhance Studio 431 and general Supply Chain processes.
  • Actively gather continuous improvement ideas from the supply base.
  • Manage supplier relationships using metrics to gauge performance, award business, and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing team members, designers, suppliers, tool builders, and associates to improve the Studio 431 overall process, considering scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Vet new companies as potential suppliers/partners for component, subassembly, or complete fabrication of Studio 431 purchased materials.
  • Ensure depth of approved suppliers for individual commodities is appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent skill level.
  • Knowledge in the use of lean manufacturing and project management tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Familiarity with common quality system processes such as sample submission, capability studies, etc.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes used for metal fabrication, concrete, wood, and plastics is preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and work with data collection, data analysis, and evaluation.
  • History of achievement with an emphasis on customer service and problem-solving.
  • Strong candidates will drive accountability within the supply base and project teams to support internal and external customers.
  • Desire to continuously improve and willingness to accept responsibility for decision-making.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, building a network of relationships with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and objectively plan and organize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively at all levels.
  • Mostly office work, but may be required to work in noisy or hot environments and around moving machinery. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
