Purchasing Buyer - TCS Components

About the role

A Purchasing Buyer at Lear is responsible for managing all purchasing activities before and after product launches, ensuring alignment with program team, supplier, and customer needs. This includes data/quote management, contract negotiations, tool timing, CR/CN process flow, profile management, and ensuring launch readiness.

Responsibilities

• Direct commodity buying responsibility and leading the group
• Planning and accomplishing strategic goals with extensive experience and judgment
• Negotiating long-term agreements and achieving yearly savings
• Developing commodity strategies to achieve desired outcomes
• Managing data accurately to meet program timelines
• Ensuring compliance with commercial terms and total cost management concepts

Experience Requirements

• Extensive work experience and discipline to drive successful purchasing goals
• Strong negotiating skills and experience in commodity or related purchasing fields
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or equivalent experience
• Ability to align with and influence internal teams, suppliers, and customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Results-driven and proactive approach throughout the program lifecycle

Bonus if You Have

• MBA
• Automotive cross-functional experience
• Experience with Electronic and Thermo Comfort commodities
• Previous SAP ERP experience
