About the role
This position is responsible for providing instruction to students with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with learning disabilities.
- Provide small group and one-on-one instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with other special education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress.
- Evaluate student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of educational psychology and learning theories.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using assistive technology and accommodations.
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
