Mission & Spiritual Qualifications
The Middle School Bible Teacher shall:
- Publicly profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity and a growing relationship with Christ
- Actively participate in a Bible-believing evangelical church (Reformed theology preferred but not required)
- Affirm and support the school’s mission, vision, values, and statement of faith
- Model Christ-like character, integrity, humility, and servant leadership
- Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain a lifestyle that reflects biblical principles and Christian testimony
Essential Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Teach Bible courses for middle school students (grades 6–8)
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with school curriculum standards and biblical truth
- Teach Scripture with Reformed theological accuracy and practical application
- Help students develop a biblical worldview and apply biblical principles to daily life
- Incorporate prayer, worship, discipleship, and spiritual formation into classroom instruction
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technology to support student learning
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, discussions, quizzes, and exams
- Maintain accurate grades, records, and lesson plans
Classroom Management & Student Development
- Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment
- Promote spiritual, emotional, academic, and social growth among students
- Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and respectful discussion
- Maintain appropriate classroom discipline consistent with school policies and biblical principles
- Serve as a mentor and spiritual role model for students
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school initiatives and student success
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
- Partner with families in the spiritual and academic development of students
School & Community Involvement
- Participate in chapel services, spiritual emphasis activities, retreats, and other school ministries
- Support extracurricular activities and school programs as assigned
- Demonstrate a positive and cooperative attitude within the school community
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Bible, Theology, Christian Education, Education, or related field required
- Teaching certification preferred
- Previous teaching experience with middle school students preferred
- Strong knowledge of Scripture and biblical doctrine (Reformed Theology preferred)
- Ability to communicate biblical truth clearly and effectively to adolescents
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to integrate faith and learning across all aspects of instruction
- Proficiency with educational technology and classroom management systems

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move throughout the classroom and campus
- Ability to supervise students in various school settings and activities
- Ability to lift and carry light classroom materials as needed
Work Environment
This position operates within a Christian school environment serving students in PreK through 8th grade. The Middle School Bible Teacher is expected to contribute to a culture of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and Christ-centered community while consistently modeling Christian values in all interactions.
