Middle School Spanish Teacher

About the role

Action Day Middle School, founded in 1984, empowers students in grades 5-8 to become independent thinkers, confident leaders, and lifelong learners. Our educators provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that foster intellectual curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and healthy risk-taking. We offer small class sizes, a strong sense of community, robust electives, athletics, and enrichment opportunities to support the development of the whole child and prepare students for success in high school and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Create dynamic, student-centered instruction that sparks curiosity and builds confidence in Spanish language and culture.
• Encourage students to communicate in Spanish, explore diverse cultures, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.
• Balance academic rigor with creativity and fun to build a strong foundation for future language studies and foster a lifelong appreciation for global perspectives and communication.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of teaching experience
• Fluency in Spanish and experience teaching Spanish language and culture in an educational setting
• Bachelor's degree
• Masters in Education or related field (preferred)
• Current Teaching Credential (preferred)
• A love and passion for working with students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A reliable, can-do attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow!
