About the role

We are seeking a Space Vehicle Electrical Test Engineer to work within the Space Protection Programs (SPP) organization. This role involves leading systems integration and test execution, developing and reviewing test artifacts, and overseeing subsystem and system-level tests. You will document test results, troubleshoot anomalies, and coordinate testing activities with support organizations in a fast-paced production environment that may include 24/7 support and travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems integration and test execution efforts.
• Develop and review test artifacts, including test plans and procedures.
• Oversee test execution of subsystem and system-level tests.
• Document test results and discrepancies.
• Lead test anomaly and troubleshooting efforts.
• Moderate among multi-disciplinary groups to synthesize test plans acknowledging technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Perform to functional and technical specifications and standards.
• Aid in solutions for hardware/software interface problems.
• Ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem through test execution.
• Coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with support organizations.
• Provide impromptu briefs of test status or discrepancies to customer representatives or program management.
• Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for integration and testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS components.
• Synthesizes customer needs into system test solutions.
• Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves interface problems, and ensures system integration.
• Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans and schedules.
• Performs analysis of test results and prepares evaluation reports.
• Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related experience.
• Ability to lead a team through established procedures and processes.
• Previous test experience.
• Proficiency with a high-level scripting language (Python, PHP, Ruby, etc.) for automated test script development, debug, and execution.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience as a Test Conductor on Space Vehicle Integration and Test Programs, including component and system-level functional and environmental tests.
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as bench top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and signal generators.
• Experience in Space Vehicle Test Operations, including test development, execution, data analysis, and anomaly resolution.
• Excellent technical writing, planning, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong social skills and ability to achieve consensus among peers while building relationships.
• Demonstrated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $147,300.00
