Space RCO Configuration Management / System Integrator - Senior

Overview

MTSI is seeking a Senior Configuration Management / System Integrator to support the development of the Rapid Resilient Command and Control program. This role involves overseeing and advising government program management on integration across multiple interfaces, including coordination with mission partners. The position is based at Kirtland AFB, NM, and supports the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive training programs for Operations Support/Help Desk personnel and Space Force Operators.
• Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide in-depth background on space vehicles, ground systems, and subsystems to enhance program office understanding of state-of-the-art systems and capabilities.
• Apply advanced principles and theories for highly classified systems and communicate complex results effectively with management and executive leadership.
• Perform data research and analysis to support management, engineering, and technical projects.
• Facilitate and evaluate exercises to test and refine operational procedures and team responsiveness.
• Plan, develop, and implement training programs for new and existing personnel.
• Review and update training materials to reflect changes in technology, procedures, and operational requirements.
• Author and maintain training manuals, quick start guides, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Prepare data formats, collect, interpret, analyze, and enter data into spreadsheets, and compile data to develop and produce reports, information, data, and documentation.
• Record, track, and maintain status documents; develop and generate special reports and progress reports.
• Aid engineers and other staff in determining requirements for current and future projects.
• Oversee and advise government program management on integration across full spectrum of interfaces, including coordination with multiple mission partners.
• Oversee program and capability documentation to ensure it meets operational needs, oversee configuration and integration working groups, and coordinate with management to ensure interface definitions support delivery milestones.
• Provide system and subsystem integration technical expertise to emerging space-related mission areas.
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy—oral and written.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience.
• Exceptional organizational management and integration skills.
• Understanding of space operational environment and mission user needs.
• Experience in space system engineering, development, and manufacturing.
• Program management experience, including program development and transition.
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, risk management, Statements of Work (SOW), and Performance Work Statements (PWS).
• 5+ years of relevant DoD and/or industry work experience with SAP and/or SCIS.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, integrated air, space, and cyberspace capabilities, and ACAT I/II level acquisition programs.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and effective training materials.
• Experience planning and executing test campaigns for space systems.
• Fluency with IC organizations.
• Desired: Relevant MA/MS/ME degree, applicable engineering degree from ABET-accredited program, or Professional Engineering license.
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI) and special access program (SAP) eligibility (no less than 2 years total SAP and/or SCI environment experience, with 1-year total within last 5 years).
• Willingness to submit to a Counter-Intelligence polygraph.
• Maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employment.
