Administrative$22–$26/hrPart-time
You answer the question every family asks first: will it fit? You measure the new home, build a to-scale furniture plan, and hand the crew a layout that means heavy pieces get placed once, correctly.
Responsibilities
- Measure new homes and community units accurately, including doorways, hallways, and elevators
- Measure the client's existing furniture and build a to-scale layout
- Produce a clear, readable floor plan the client and the crew can both follow
- Adjust the plan with the client until it works for how they actually live
- Collect community move-in rules, delivery windows, and access constraints
Requirements
- Comfortable with floor-plan or design software, or willing to learn our tools
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
- Able to move through homes and take measurements, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Authorized to work in the United States. Offers are contingent on a background check
Skills
- Precision, because a half inch matters when a piece has to clear a doorway
- Spatial sense and an eye for flow and accessibility
- Patience explaining a plan to someone who is anxious about the change
Schedule
Mostly daytime appointments on weekdays, scheduled ahead. Lighter and more predictable hours than the field roles.
Pay
$22 to $26 an hour, depending on experience. This is a part-time W-2 position. You're an employee of Harbor Lane, with taxes withheld and workers' compensation coverage, not an independent contractor.
About the role
This role tends to suit interior designers, drafters, real estate stagers, retired architects or engineers, and anyone with a good eye and a tape measure they trust.
