Space Planner

Because this position requires regular on-site work at our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates who currently reside in Northeast Ohio. Remote work and relocation assistance are not available for this role.

About the role

The Space Planner is responsible for executing space planning activities in support of the Category and Occasion Team goals for the programs and brands they are accountable for. This includes developing and maintaining Plan-O-Grams, understanding and implementing distribution strategies, and coordinating operations execution at retail to maintain display integrity. The Space Planner ensures retail productivity by placing the right product in the right doors, aligning retail presentation with high-level Category and Occasion strategies. They determine which captions, price points, and items from the master line appear in Planograms to meet goals and drive retail productivity through detailed analysis of occasions and retail results.

Responsibilities

• Participate in executing continuous improvement opportunities.
• Determine price/caption mix for Planograms (POGs) and build POGs to support Product Management’s assortment strategies.
• Optimize planograms based on analysis to maintain and grow retail POS (Point of Sale).
• Analyze and execute the distribution and execution plan for programs/projects, ensuring retail, caption, and pricing goals are met.
• Enrich, manage, and finalize line transitions from current selling line offerings to new requested line offerings, including support for special initiatives and one-off programs.
• Ensure corporate schedules are met for POG building, program operations, and execution.
• Identify and facilitate the resolution of specific program execution issues.
• Resolve routine problems/issues based on past practices, situations, and knowledge.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Consumer packaged goods experience preferred, particularly in product management and/or merchandising.
• Space Planning/merchandising experience is preferred.
• Strong analytic skills.
• Clear, crisp communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related subject.
• Blue Yonder knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
