Space Force MUOS Deputy Program Manager Engineering
About the role
The Space Force MUOS Deputy Program Manager Engineering (DPME) integrates with a highly skilled cross-functional team responsible for the production, implementation, and testing of advanced aerospace composites and military shelter products. The role ensures that systems meet engineering requirements, manages coordination with operations, and spearheads design inputs for upcoming contracts.
Responsibilities
- Plan, authorize, and monitor engineering work, ensuring high-quality, on-time deliverables
- Interface with various Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to provide necessary design engineering support for the production line, including organizing material review board analysis and coordinating with external customers
- Conduct monthly engineering status reviews and prepare materials for program reviews
- Aid in staffing, managing resources, and providing performance feedback for the project team
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and communicate technical issue resolutions
- Oversee performance, cost, scope, and schedule for all engineering efforts
- Manage engineering-related risks, opportunities, and project change processes
- Lead technical proposals and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and assist in ROM development
Qualifications
- Education: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field, with 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
- CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. U.S. citizenship is required.

Target salary range
USD $128,854.00/Yr. - USD $142,947.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
