Spa Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Prenatal Massage, and Body Wraps – plus several specialized treatments unique to Spa Monarch.
• Adhere to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring the time schedule.
• Welcome clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and thanking them sincerely on departure.
• Engage and converse with clients during sessions on topics relating to their interests.
• Maintain product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services and retail products.
• Care for linens and replace them between sessions.
• Cease treatment and inform the supervisor in the event of inappropriate guest behavior.
• Maintain the organization of all treatment areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of prior experience serving in a spa/salon facility.
• Preferably experience in a high-end spa/salon.
• Proficient in performing all applicable treatments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly manner.
• Able to stand for extended periods and to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to maintain client confidentiality.
• Experience in advanced massage techniques and demonstrated ability to learn new massage techniques.
• Must be currently licensed by the Colorado State Board of Massage Therapists.

Other Compensation

• Hourly rate + tips + 25% service commission + 10% sales commission on any product sold.

Pay

• $60 - $80/hr, average between base pay/commission/gratuities
