About the role
The Spa Attendant ensures the highest quality cleanliness and equipment maintenance throughout the Spa, Salon, Retail, and Fitness Center for Members and guests of Yellowstone Club. This seasonal position runs from June to September.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in a friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining service standards, and demonstrating solid product knowledge.
- Guarantee total Member satisfaction by displaying hospitality and professionalism, representing Yellowstone Club with pride, and handling all transactions legally and ethically.
- Apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment; seek medical attention or contact management in case of accidents or emergencies.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members to foster a collaborative environment.
- Exhibit professionalism, diplomacy, and the ability to handle difficult situations.
- Uphold gracious attendant procedures throughout the guest experience cycle.
- Be knowledgeable about all spa services, pricing, and other offerings provided by the YC Spa.
- Serve guests enthusiastically and in a timely manner while adhering to proper service standards.
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines from the Department of Health and the Spa.
- Proactively maintain cleanliness in all spa, salon, fitness, and retail areas.
- Monitor spa traffic effectively while catering to individual guest and member needs.
- Tend to guests in relaxation lounges, locker rooms, and wet areas without creating a rushed atmosphere.
- Ensure a smooth transition from check-in to treatment, meeting guest needs and guiding them seamlessly through the process.
- Maintain a pristine locker area appearance and continuously restock supplies.
- Assist guests with all aspects of their stay, particularly before and after treatments.
- Perform duties efficiently in accordance with Club policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality, attendance, and consistency standards.
- Maintain a positive, respectful attitude toward Members, guests, vendors, and coworkers.
- Uphold Member privacy at all times.
- Present a clean, neat appearance consistently.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Work safely and maintain high-quality standards.
- Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests at all times.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with long hours as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least one to two years of experience in a public contact position (preferred).
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to train on spa, salon, and fitness software.
- Ability to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, coworkers, and vendors.
- Clear and legible writing ability.
- Basic math calculation skills.
- Problem-solving ability and knowing when to seek managerial assistance.
Physical Demands
- Work is primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment, though some outdoor work may be required in varying weather conditions.
- Must stand and walk for extended periods, up to four hours at a time.
- Regularly lift up to 15 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing.
- Continuous talking, hearing, and visual acuity, including near vision and depth perception.
- Extended computer screen use.
- Manual dexterity for operating necessary equipment.
