About the role
Carter Creek Winery is currently hiring a Spa Attendant to provide excellent service to the guests in our Resort and Spa. The Spa Attendant would greet and check in guests, support spa therapists with service preparations, assist guests with service selection and booking appointments, and close out accounts upon completion of service.
Responsibilities
- Meets and greets all guests; determines their needs and directs them to appropriate employee/locations.
- Responds to visitors, guests, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answers and directs calls on a multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner; takes messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate employee, department, or voicemail.
- Checks, clears, and returns all messages every evening before leaving and every morning upon arrival.
- Takes appointments via phone, e-mail, or walk-in, and books them with accuracy.
- Takes all information needed to book any appointment properly.
- Knows how to use computer system with accuracy.
- Assists in room preparation and set up for therapist.
- Composes and prints all itineraries for guest, therapist, and attendants.
- Informs therapist of their guest arrival.
- Checks out guest; applies proper discounts, etc.
- Collects guest comment cards, approximately 4 per day.
- Proper handling of money till; making sure there is the proper amount accounted for every morning; making sure all money is accounted for at the end of each shift.
- Arrives to shift on time and upkeeps satisfactory attendance.
- Follows all dress code requirements.
- Performs general clerical duties including, but not limited to, filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing requests.
- Prepares any outgoing mail or packages if necessary.
- Organizes and maintains file systems as well as any other records and reports.
- Performs duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Demonstrates product knowledge or the ability and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

- One year previous spa or front desk experience preferred.

Working conditions
Spends majority of time indoors. Bi-level structures. Extensive facility. Indoor: temperature controlled, clean, and well-lighted offices, guest rooms, and public areas. Outdoors: may be exposed to weather conditions in uncovered areas. May work on wet concrete and uneven tile. Moderate exposure to hazardous substances and fumes. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
Physical demands
- Stands and walks short to moderate distances through shift.
- Bends, stoops, and reaches to perform routine job tasks.
- Routinely required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over moderate distances.
- May be required to move objects weighing up to 250 lbs. over short distances, using appropriate hand trucks and carts.
- Flexibility and good reflexes required, if needed to operate electric cart.
- Frequent use of stairs, daily.
