Sow Product Manager-Guymon

Responsibilities

• Operational Support: Work closely with farm managers to ensure the execution of daily sow production activities.
• Livability and Health: Collaborate with farm managers and vet services to actively monitor sow health and livability.
• Safety Oversight: Ensure the safety of all farm personnel and livestock by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
• Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities, closely monitor budgets, and provide detailed reports on financial performance.
• Data Utilization: Assist farm managers in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data, leveraging insights to make informed decisions.
• Biosecurity and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to biosecurity measures and provide guidance on compliance with industry regulations.
• Team Support: Collaborate with farm managers to nurture leadership skills, provide coaching and mentoring, and contribute to recruitment and training efforts.
• Manager Development: Support the professional development of farm managers by identifying growth opportunities, facilitating training programs, and providing guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science or Husbandry, or related field, and three years of swine experience, or in the alternative, five years of swine experience.
• Must have experience in all processes of swine production from gestation through farrowing.
• Five plus proven experience in swine production and management, including hands-on farm management.
• Strong operational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Deep knowledge of biosecurity, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional communication and team collaboration abilities.
• A dedication to animal welfare and a demonstrated commitment to operational excellence.
• Bilingual, English and Spanish is Preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record (MVR).
