South Carolina Barred Defense Litigation Attorney (Remote)

Latitude is seeking a South Carolina-based lawyer with 5+ years of personal injury defense litigation experience for a part-time, flexible engagement position with a national law firm. This role is ideal for a solo practitioner or an attorney interested in part-time "as-needed" work. The successful candidate will enjoy collaborating as part of a dynamic team and have significant litigation experience, including written discovery, motion work, depositions, and court hearings. Trial experience is a plus but not required. The position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
• Attend all court appearances and depositions for South Carolina cases
• Handle all aspects of discovery
• Efficiently and competently research legal issues
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to colleagues and clients

Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation experience working on personal injury defense cases
• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Outstanding references

Schedule

Part-time (approximately 5-10 hours per week)

Pay

The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $185,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors, including work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference.
