Job Responsibilities
- Create and cook nutritious, tasty meals that meet client dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain a weekly meal schedule and coordinate the timing of meals
- Prepare lunch and dinner daily, occasionally supporting breakfast or weekend planning
- Manage grocery orders, kitchen inventory, and supplies
- Cook with clients as part of their recovery experience
- Coordinate with vendors and delivery services to maintain stock
- Monitor food freshness and ensure proper food safety practices
- Keep kitchens clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Support clients in learning basic cooking or kitchen skills as part of their recovery experience
- Collaborate with house staff to ensure kitchen environments are welcoming and inclusive
- Adapt meals and schedules as needed for house events, client preferences, or seasonal availability
Requirements
- A confident, experienced cook or chef with a deep love of nourishing others through food
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage your time independently
- Emotionally intelligent and comfortable working in environments that prioritize mental health and healing
