Responsibilities

• Support the Kitchen Manager and staff in preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for children
• Ensure efficient kitchen operations
• Contribute to a safe, compliant, and child-centered food service program aligned with regulatory standards
• Work 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday, with occasional evening support for school events

Requirements

• Minimum of two years in a commercial kitchen management
• Experience in training others in kitchen management and cooking techniques
• Cooking in a childcare setting is preferred
• Experience cooking for large groups
• Knowledge of Health and Sanitation Regulations and familiarity with CACFP and related guidelines
• ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
• CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Drivers license required, local travel required, and must be insurable under Youth In Need auto liability coverage
• Sensitive to the socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the service population
