Responsibilities
- Support the Kitchen Manager and staff in preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for children
- Ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Contribute to a safe, compliant, and child-centered food service program aligned with regulatory standards
- Work 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday, with occasional evening support for school events
Requirements
- Minimum of two years in a commercial kitchen management
- Experience in training others in kitchen management and cooking techniques
- Cooking in a childcare setting is preferred
- Experience cooking for large groups
- Knowledge of Health and Sanitation Regulations and familiarity with CACFP and related guidelines
- ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
- CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Drivers license required, local travel required, and must be insurable under Youth In Need auto liability coverage
- Sensitive to the socioeconomic and cultural characteristics of the service population
