The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin and his club of the same name. It brings together people from diverse backgrounds to discuss issues and ideas of the time while enjoying life. Emphasizing public gathering spaces, The Junto offers a destination and landmark for the future of Columbus, fostering human connections through shared meals.

Responsibilities

• Employ culinary and managerial skills to maintain the standards of excellence established by the Executive Chef.
• Participate in the daily operations and collaborate on menu ideation and execution.
• Produce high quality products and develop high performing teams.
• Help in the preparation and design of all food menus.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way to meet quality standards.
• Fill in for the executive chef in planning and directing food preparation, when necessary.
• Solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
• Train culinary team members, establishing schedules and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Sous Chef highly preferred.
• Excellent food preparation skills.
• Patient, understanding, and detailed personality.
• Keen eye for detail for cleanliness and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
