Schedule
Full-Time: 10:00am - 6:30pm, including every other weekend

About You
You are a service-oriented and experienced dining professional with a passion for leading and mentoring others. You model exceptional service, have a strong understanding of dining operations, and bring enthusiasm to training and supporting team members while ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen in the absence of the Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef
- Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and recipes
- Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
- Follows all HACCP protocols and complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards including daily and weekly completion of logs
- Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques
- Stores food properly and safely, manages labeling and dating daily, with follow up on staff discrepancies
- Maintains storage areas
- Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
- Preps food as necessary
- Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and presentation of food are preserved
- Oversee monthly inventory systems management process
Requirements
- High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training
- A Culinary Arts Degree or certification by ACF preferred
- Serv Safe Certification is required
- A minimum of 3 years related production and supervisory experience in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant or similar facility
- Must possess a customer service background and orientation
- HACCP training preferred
