About the role

The role of Sous Chef is pivotal in the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing daily operations and ensuring high-quality food preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in menu development and execution
  • Oversee food preparation and quality control
  • Manage inventory and maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on special events and menus

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional chef experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in multiple cuisines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Skills

  • Knife skills and culinary techniques
  • Menu planning and cost control
