Sous Chef

About the role

Gordon Ramsay Burger Boston, a premium casual restaurant inspired by Michelin-starred chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our back-of-house operations. This two-story location offers rooftop views of the city and is adjacent to the Boston Public Market, where guests enjoy signature dishes like the Hell's Kitchen Burger, Sticky Toffee Shake, Hellfire Chicken Wings, and Kettle Chip Nachos.

Requirements

• Motivation and leadership skills to represent the Gordon Ramsay Brand and its world-class hospitality standards
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a fast-casual restaurant
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a quality, high-volume restaurant
• A keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of the Gordon Ramsay standard of food quality at all times
• A proven track record of recruiting, developing, motivating, and retaining a high-performing kitchen team
• A strong personality with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear communication with all stakeholders
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage relationships at all levels

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the effective execution of all dishes, ensuring consistent presentation and guest satisfaction in a lively restaurant and bar
• Interact with guests to make each visit memorable
• Lead the kitchen team, driving food quality and standards
• Inspire and motivate the team to achieve loyalty and retention
• Ensure overall compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, both statutory and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants standards
• Manage the supply chain and stock control effectively in line with Gordon Ramsay Restaurant standards
• Control food margins within set targets
• Coordinate and manage all resources and commercials to deliver P&L targets
