About the role
The Bridgewater Grill of The Golden Hotel is seeking a hard-working, communicative, and experienced sous chef to join their team. They are a full-service restaurant open 7 days a week, offering in-room dining and breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Responsibilities
- Provide guests and team members with professional, efficient, courteous, and genuine hospitality.
- Manage guest concerns appropriately and resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction while keeping business objectives in mind.
- Maintain open and professional communication with other department heads and supervisors to ensure the needs of guests and team members are addressed promptly.
- Assist the Chef with food preparation, menu creation, and recipe writing.
- Lead the team ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
- Ensure attractive and consistent preparation of all food items.
- Participate in the ordering and inventory of supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, tools, and supplies.
- Set up, restock, and maintain clean food preparation areas.
- Maintain efficient operations and adhere to established safety and quality standards.
- Monitor Brand service scores daily and take appropriate action to ensure scores are communicated to the team and are above the Brand average.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and timely complete all required training.
- Able to grasp, bend, stoop, and push, pull, and lift 30 lbs.
Requirements
- 2 years of kitchen food preparation and leadership experience.
- Culinary education or certification is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and interactive environment.
- Strong written and communication skills, additional language a plus.
- State required Food Handlers Certification.
