Sourcing Recruiter
About the role
The Sourcing Recruiter is responsible for building and maintaining robust, diverse pipelines for technical and defense-specific roles. This role partners closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager and HR team to identify and engage candidates, screening resumes, conducting outreach, and supporting employer branding efforts.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage both passive and active candidates through various channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, cold calling, job boards, internal ATS databases, and industry-specific sources.
- Build and maintain pipelines for evergreen and hard-to-fill roles, such as skilled trades, technical, and defense-specific positions.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial outreach within 24 hours of identifying a strong candidate, assess interest and qualifications, and hand off warm, vetted prospects to the recruiting team.
- Keep ATS activity accurate and current, deliver weekly pipeline metrics, and research and map talent within competitor organizations, defense contractors, and government and military communities.
- Support employer branding efforts by representing GTC at career fairs, virtual events, and military transition programs.
Requirements
A minimum of three years of sourcing or recruiting experience is required, with a strong preference for technical sourcing in defense, aerospace, or skilled manufacturing. Proficiency with Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter, and ATS platforms is essential. Clear communication and the ability to build rapport quickly are also key.

You must be a U.S. citizen.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, the ability to move with urgency, and a genuine passion for talent are crucial. You should also be able to take personal ownership of the pipeline and demonstrate sourcing excellence.
