We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role as a Sourcing Planner for information technology within the Office of Budget & Finance, headquartered at 2045 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229.

About the role

Work independently to lead the agency in researching, evaluating, and administering the agency's information technology (IT) contract portfolio. Transition IT to a centralized procurement process. Utilize strategic sourcing to maximize agency spend for goods and services and improvements to supply chain, delivery, and cost reductions. Plan and improve the use of preference programs across the contract portfolio. Determine cost projections across the agency contract portfolio, identify cost savings, and establish cost controls and a reduction plan. Monitor supplier performance.

Pay

  • Starting hourly pay of $33.52/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, ending at $49.18/hr.
  • Cost of living adjustments (COLA) may be applied.
  • Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.

Requirements

  • 42 months of experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing, including experience in performing spend analysis, developing sourcing strategy, and evaluating vendor performance.
  • OR completion of an undergraduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management, logistics, supply chain management, operations management, or other sourcing-related field AND 18 months of experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
  • OR completion of a graduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management, logistics, supply chain management, operations management, or other sourcing-related field AND 6 months of experience or training in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
  • OR 24 months of experience as a Sourcing Analyst (64512).
  • OR 12 months of experience as a Senior Sourcing Analyst (64513).
  • OR equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
