About the Role

The Sourcing Manager I drives competitive advantage and cost-saving strategies across multiple regions. This role utilizes expert knowledge of creating and managing leveraged agreements, key supplier and customer relationships, and effective execution of commodity planning and management processes. The position ensures successful implementation, execution, and compliance with global procurement and commodity/spend category strategies, contracts, processes, and policies. The Sourcing Manager I leads identified Regional/Global leverage opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash metrics for the subregion and ensure the team meets targets.
  • Develop and implement regional commodity strategies for assigned commodities, distribute to subregion teams, and ensure communication to the Events team.
  • Understand subregion-specific market conditions and develop strategies to address them, partnering with other Sourcing Managers to incorporate into the overall regional commodity strategy.
  • Lead outage forecasting activities for assigned commodities and/or subregions.
  • Create and utilize RFQ templates and standard documents to support commodity strategy, distributing them to subregion teams, PPMs, and Buyers.
  • Implement long-term agreements with strategic suppliers (MSAs, SOWs, etc.) using FieldCore templates, ensure compliance, and suggest improvements to standard contract language.
  • Drive cost-out initiatives, ensure the team meets cost targets, create a sustainable backlog of cost-out projects, and update Reduce accordingly.
  • Support NCR and claims processes, ensuring NCR data is utilized in commodity strategies and supplier selection.
  • Ensure all suppliers in the subregion are ComplyWorks and Technically qualified, manage PPMs and Buyers for compliance, and provide guidance to Supplier Quality and EHS as needed.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives and lead projects in collaboration with other functions (e.g., Productivity, Value Stream).
  • Manage supplier relationships in assigned commodities and lead/join escalation discussions as necessary.
  • Contribute strongly during 3M, ORR, and POR reviews, ensuring appropriate sourcing strategies, SOWs, supplier onboarding, cost management, and lessons learned.
  • Drive lean workouts to improve Sourcing capabilities in the region/sub-region and continuous improvement in Sourcing processes.
  • Travel as required.
  • May be assigned other duties to support FieldCore’s vision and align with core values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of applicable experience with demonstrated success/knowledge, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of specialized/industry experience.
  • Experience with supplier management, contracting, and negotiations.
  • Solid understanding of supplier management practices and experience with large-scale system implementations.
  • Fluent and proficient in both spoken and written English.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong analytical skills, including cost and price modeling, value analysis, and ROI.
  • Energy, construction, engineering, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Membership in ISM (NAPM) with professional certification as a CPM preferred.
  • Exemplary knowledge of ecommerce, supply chain management, and evolving ERP system technology.
  • Ability to focus on internal customer satisfaction and respond to feedback.
  • Demonstrated self-initiative, decision-making, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with Oracle and ERP systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound business judgment.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $89,800 to $150,800. This is an exempt from overtime position.
