Sourcing Manager (Die Castings)

New Product Introduction (NPI)

The Sourcing Leader will support the New Product Introduction (NPI) team for the Castings category, which includes High Pressure Die Cast (HPDC), Permanent Mold, Sand Cast, Iron, and Brass RFx. They will leverage should cost models provided by the Category Leader to project manage NPI launches for category-specific components.

Sourcing

• Drive cost reduction projects from new suppliers
• Achieve NPI compliance with preferred suppliers, acting as a category liaison across the organization
• Propose awards for new business to the Category Leader
• Assess and review supplier readiness
• Procure prototype samples for engineering approval
• Support Kaizen events to generate cost savings ideas
• Manage invoice disputes related to NPI purchases
• Identify and mitigate risks in the NPI process, including leadtime, cost, service, and quality
• Coordinate new and replacement tooling kickoffs and readiness, including purchase orders
• Manage the tooling life cycle processes

Supplier Management

• Conduct supplier assessments and readiness reviews

Other Initiatives

• Item parametrization, item taxonomy, and TVC load/maintenance
• Kaizen event support
• Management of tooling life cycle processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
• 3 years of relevant HPDC working experience
• Strong background using Excel
• Strong communication abilities, both internal and external partners
• Project management skills, and ability to drive towards a target date
• Excellent data analysis capabilities
• Negotiation experience in a business-to-business setting
• Curiosity and problem-solving capability
• Collaborative growth mindset
