Responsibilities
- Represent the Olathe team in leadership team within Sourcing.
- Define the long-term strategy together with the Site Management Team to align sourcing activities with broader business objectives and ensure effective communication; setting joint targets, aligning sourcing projects while understanding business strategies and demand forecast to proactively drive improvements.
- Lead the operational procurement for the Olathe site to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
- Provide input for monthly financial reviews, reporting cost evolution and sourcing KPIs status.
- Support the team in New Product Development (NPD) projects by identifying and selecting suppliers.
- Drive operations agenda towards R&D in NPDs (standardization, supplier consolidation, supply resilience, etc.).
- Support the implementation of global category strategies.
- Ensure active collaboration with other regions’ sourcing teams, contributing to the success of category networks.
- Define clear local sourcing strategies that build the capabilities needed for long-term growth and sustainability.
- Drive cost out programs for HCD, including setting targets, following up on performance, and setting up governance/reports.
- Develop and manage relationships with key and complex suppliers including high-spend and multi-commodity negotiations, to drive innovation and cost savings.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current business trends including industry changes, cost drivers, pricing, market conditions and economic indicators in order to identify new or alternative suppliers as needed.
- Conduct Business Review meetings and governance sessions with critical suppliers focused on market intelligence and innovation, while also identifying, mapping and evaluating sourcing risks.
- Coordinate corporate compliance and sustainability work by driving the procurement part of the overall agenda for the site.
- Work with the rest of SMT to set up a resilient supply chain.
- Identifies, evaluates, and manages risks across multiple commodities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and mitigating potential disruptions.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of AS400, MRP processes and basic inventory principles, SAP, and Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel).
- Strong negotiation and strategic mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering preferred, not required.
- Experience in R&D, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing or relevant business experience preferably in a manufacturing environment required.
