Responsibilities
- Planner, strategist, and executor of Capital Equipment and MRO strategic sourcing and category management.
- Develops category business plans, performs global market and pricing analyses, and provides procurement support.
- Negotiates and reaches agreements with suppliers on complex business terms and conditions, including forecast processes, sourcing strategies, lead times, price reductions, and other strategic issues.
- Manages teams across various internal departments to address business and risk mitigation issues, including contract template standardization.
- Led negotiation teams with key suppliers, manages critical supplier lists, implements contract timelines, and reports contract statuses to teams and management.
- Monitors and manages periodic supply agreement changes and updates, oversees vendor management, category management, and cost savings for Capital Equipment and MRO.
Requirements
- Develops company strategic commodity objectives and goals.
- Advise management on alternate global supply sources, raw material costs, commodity pricing trends, and supply/demand situations impacting the business.
- Form teams with other departments (Procurement, Legal, Quality, Regulatory, and Development) to address business and risk mitigation issues.
- Manage forecast processes, sourcing strategies, lead times, price reductions, and other strategic issues with key suppliers.
- Manage critical supplier lists for contract implementation and timelines for completion.
- Reports contract status to teams and management.
- Monitor and manage critical contract review, extension, and termination terms and dates.
- Lead vendor management, category management, and cost savings for Capital Equipment and MRO.
- Perform periodic supply agreement changes and updates.
Experience/Education
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience related to Capital Equipment and MRO sourcing and/or contracting.
Pay
The estimated base salary range for the Sourcing Manager - Capital Equipment and MRO role based in the United States of America is: $98,400 - $147,600.
