Strategic Sourcing Specialist (MRO)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing category strategies aligned with procurement and manufacturing objectives
• Conduct spend analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Support demand planning and data-driven decision-making
• Support sourcing activities including RFQs/RFPs, supplier selection, and bid evaluations
• Aid in preparing negotiation materials and participating in supplier discussions
• Execute contracts and maintain procurement documentation
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and track performance metrics (quality, delivery, cost)
• Support supplier onboarding, qualification, and compliance processes
• Assist in resolving supply or delivery issues in coordination with operations
• Track savings initiatives and procurement KPIs
• Maintain accurate data in procurement systems and dashboards
• Support reporting for category performance and supplier scorecards
• Partner with operations, finance, engineering, and quality teams to support production needs
• Affirm alignment with plant requirements and procurement policies
• Affirm occasional interaction with suppliers and plant sites
• Affirm travel required (15%-20%) for supplier engagement and site visits

Basic Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of sourcing and procurement processes
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and grow in category management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems
• Familiarity with procurement tools
• Knowledge of basic cost analysis or financial principles
