Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Coordinator-Supply Chain Management (Clinical).
This role provides strategic sourcing services on Clinical Product spend to NYU Langone Health.
The position supports any of the following clinical areas: Perioperative, Orthopedic, Percutaneous, Research, Non-Procedural, Capital Equipment, or Med Surg.
Job Responsibilities
- Process Excellence
- Maintains expiring contracts report and system price parity.
- Provides contract support for existing and new suppliers, product add (PSR), and match exceptions.
- Supplier Selection and Contracting
- Conducts basic pricing reviews and negotiations with suppliers.
- Analyzes basic contracts, such as terms and conditions as it relates to products and services.
- Analysis Skills
- Possesses fundamental skills to interpret and analyze data both financially and qualitatively in order to present and interpret outcomes.
- Explain and convey data to the Sourcing Managers and end users.
- Identify sourcing opportunities from data.
- Relationship Management
- Acts as customer service support liaison.
- Obtains requestor/end-user feedback to ensure alignment/expectations are consistent with their departmental goals.
- Aids departments in implementing sourcing changes, especially if moving to a new supplier and for more significant spends and services.
- Cost Savings
- Helps identify strategic sourcing savings opportunities.
- Improves business processes within (but not limited to) Supply Chain Department.
- Business Process Optimization
- Gathers and interprets market and competitive intelligence through formal and informal processes.
- Assesses needs and initiates sourcing projects.
- Supports Sourcing Managers in ongoing projects.
- Works with requestor/end-user to remain abreast of evolving needs and keep requestor/end-user aware of evolving market capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities
- Some knowledge of procurement/sourcing process
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications
- Some knowledge of the sourcing/procurement process
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills in gathering data and reporting
- Strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail, follow through and accountability
- Team player, contributes to the larger group in order to complete tasks
- Self-starter, ability to lead assigned responsibilities with minimal direction
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills, ability to meet deadlines on a timely basis
- History working collaboratively with cross functional teams is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of relevant experience
Salary Range
$61,288.35 - $80,136.00 Annually
