About the role

Cisco Global Supplier Management (GSM) team is seeking a motivated Technical Sourcing Commodity Manager for PCB commodity. You will join a highly impactful and dynamic organization collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers on early technology sensing and sourcing engagement across Cisco engineering teams. We work closely with hardware design engineering, component engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to develop the next generation of products including AI. We partner with industry-leading PCB suppliers to develop technology roadmaps aligned to Cisco's next-generation technology development, delivering cutting-edge technologies at competitive prices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide industry (PCB, sub-tiers) knowledge and understanding of market trends (cost, technology, supply chain design, etc.).
  • Define and set strategic direction for PCB sourcing.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit partners to understand long-term requirements, map requirements into supply base offerings, close roadmap gaps, and facilitate optimal component selection.
  • Implement sourcing decisions, risk assessment/mitigation, and alternate technical solution development.
  • Manage large, complex programs consisting of multiple locations and Business Units.
  • Resolve large-scale project issues independently and manage partner concerns within Cisco.
  • International travel may be required.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience (could be a combination of engineering design with business strategy experience).
  • PCB product manufacturing, laminate technology, and industry experience is a must.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to PCB technologies (Line Card, Backplane, Rigid/Flex/HDI, Laminates, Glass cloth).

  • Extensive business strategy and implementation knowledge.
  • Strong technical and business-related problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong experience with PCB technology/ecosystem.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $140,800.00 to $183,000.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. Below are the full salary ranges for specific locations:

  • New York City Metro Area: $140,800.00 - $210,500.00
  • Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $128,200.00 - $186,700.00

For quota-based sales roles, the ranges include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
  • Eligibility to earn annual bonuses (for non-sales roles) or performance-based incentive pay (for sales roles).
  • Employees may be eligible for grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment.
