Sonographer (Weekend Option, Nights)

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. The ultrasound department is located within the Radiology department of the hospital. The ultrasound department prides itself on being able to offer quality care Close to Home.
Responsibilities
- Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.
- Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures.
- Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area.
Requirements
- Education: Associate or Trade School Equivalent
- Licenses & Certifications: RDMS or equivalent
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: Less than 2 years
- Licenses & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Licenses & Certifications: RDCS or equivalent

Weekend Option Pay Eligible. Full-time (Nights) position working 37.5 hours per week, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Holiday rotation required (2 per year – On Call). Sign-On Bonus $5,000 for eligible applicants.
