About the Role
This position involves providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient comfort and safety. The role requires exercising professional judgment, maintaining confidentiality, and delivering patient education tailored to age-specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound tests and positioning patients appropriately.
- Developing and evaluating images for technical accuracy.
- Ensuring proper documentation and verifying physician orders.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff.
- Maintaining safety standards, performing equipment checks, and adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Assisting with procedures, managing patient information accurately, and participating in quality assurance activities.
- Ensuring compliance with infection control and safety policies.
- Rotating shifts as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from ARDMS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to shift rotations.
