About the role
This position involves providing ultrasound imaging services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing while maintaining safety standards and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ultrasound rooms and equipment for procedures
- Perform imaging procedures across all age groups
- Evaluate image quality and ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Assist radiologists during ultrasound-guided procedures
- Enter accurate patient and procedure data into departmental systems
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, staff, and physicians
- Promote patient-focused care and maintain confidentiality
- Adhere to safety protocols including radiation safety, infection control, and equipment checks
Requirements
- High school graduate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
