Sonographer PT Days

About the role

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Sonographer. As a Sonographer at MercyOne you will perform ultrasound exams—including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related procedures—on a scheduled or emergent basis, maintain related records, provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting studies, and give technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations (OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, and other related procedures).
• Maintain accurate records of all ultrasound studies.
• Assist radiologists in interpreting ultrasound studies.
• Provide technical instruction to students and hospital staff.

Schedule

• Part‑time, 20 hours per week.
• Daytime hours.
• Holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as one of the following:
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS)
• If not currently registered, be board‑eligible and obtain ARDMS registration within one year of hire.
• Maintain active ARDMS registry status (30 CME credits every 3 years and annual payment).
• Complete Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within six months of hire and every three years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire and renewed every two years.
