About the role
Responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients and producing high-quality images for interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment, maneuver transducers, and perform routine and complex studies.
- Ensure safety standards, quality control, and proper equipment functioning.
- Capture and submit images promptly to PACS with accurate labeling and patient data.
- Maintain a clean, organized department and comply with regulations.
- Recognize structures, artifacts, and pathology, and report issues.
- Perform other departmental duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Sonography program.
- Certification as a registered sonographer with two or more ARDMS registries (e.g., ABD/OB, MSK, BR, FE, RVS, RMSKS, RDCS).
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Physical ability for constant standing, walking, lifting, and repositioning patients and equipment.
