Job Summary and Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA approved Ultrasound School training program or an armed services program that qualifies for approval.
- Current certification by ARDMS or RVT (vascular) certification. Must maintain current registry.
- Maintains annual competency for cleaning and high level disinfection of ultrasound probes.
- Attends continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level.
- Maintains BLS.
- Completion of an AMA approved Ultrasound program.
- Prioritize 1 year recent hospital Ultrasound experience.
- Skills commensurate with formal training requirements.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RDMS).
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician
About the Role
This position supports the mission of HealthONE/HCA of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Radiologist and the supervision of the lead technologist, performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and provide quality diagnostic results. Will be knowledgeable and competent in cleaning and high level disinfection of ultrasound probes and other equipment as necessary.
