The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, maintains a safe and professional work environment, and provides education to patients and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures
- Conduct daily checks of the work area
- Perform department ancillary functions
- Provide education to patients and families
- Maintain professionalism consistent with ultrasound technologist standards
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities for age-specific patient populations
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or proven competence through on-the-job training and specialized courses
- Knowledge base and experience to work independently
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Pay
The base rate for this position is $37.55 - $45.77 per hour. The final salary will be determined based on the education and experience of the successful candidate.
