About This Role
Reporting to the Section Leader, Mammography/Sonography, utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related data.
Schedule
Shift: Variable Shifts
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm
Pay
Pay Range: $42.00 - $60.00 / Hourly
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an educational program that meets eligibility for ARDMS registry.
- Experience: Previous experience as a sonographer strongly preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification: Current registration with ARDMS; or ARDMS-eligible with ARDMS achieved within 1 year of hire.
- BLS healthcare provider required.
Skills
- Ultrasound scanning skills in vascular, OBGYN, abdominal and small parts required.
- Must be able to understand oral and written medical/radiological/sonographic terminology.
- Must have comprehension of cross-sectional anatomy and correlation with anatomical structures.
- Must be able to identify pathological processes.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required.
- Computer Skills Required.
- Able to maintain confidential information.
