Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations on pregnant women to assess the health and development of the fetus
  • Thoroughly analyze information or previous test results to clarify the details requested by the ultrasound examination
  • Confidently select suitable equipment to produce the best quality exam, including machine, transducer array, and frequency
  • Provide accurate and detailed images using ultrasound technology to aid in the diagnosis and management of high-risk pregnancies
  • Evaluate fetal growth, anatomy, and well-being through ultrasound examinations
  • Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment and techniques to obtain high-quality images
  • Assess and document fetal abnormalities, anomalies, and potential complications
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound findings and provide accurate diagnoses
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns or questions
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ultrasound examinations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate from an accredited sonography program or graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program accredited by the AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Pay

$33.27 - $62.99 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
