Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.
• Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
• Provides for personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment in accordance with written standards so there is no injury to self or others.
• PRACTICES professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and attitude that lead to physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited (by AMA or ARDMS) school of ultrasound or equivalent experience is required.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen and OB/GYN (ARDMS AB OB) required. The Sonographer may start with either AB or OB certification, and has one year to obtain the other.
• If proof of registration is not received within one year of assuming the Sonographer job, the position will be vacated by the incumbent.
• Current state license in Sonography is required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon.
• ARDMS Breast certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR Certification: American Heart Association, Health Care provider level BLS and AED Certification required.

Pay

Pay Range: USD $48.69 - USD $69.65 /Hr.
