Breast Sonographer

Responsibilities

• Independently operate sonography equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique.
• Communicate with the patient and relay any pertinent information to the radiologist and document on tracking sheet/chart.
• Communicate with the radiologist and perform any necessary additional exams.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only is not eligible for hire) or ARRT(S).
• Current compliance with CME requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS software.
• Physical demands: Needs to be able to stand for long periods of time.
