Sonographer

About the Role

The Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures, capturing accurate images for interpretation by radiologists or providers. They review test indications, communicate findings, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Producing precise clinical diagnostic images following protocols
• Initiating interventions for urgent findings
• Reviewing test indications and contacting providers as needed
• Maintaining records and quality assurance documentation
• Assisting with staff and student training
• Adhering to safety, infection control, and departmental policies

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a technical school
• Certification from ARDMS or equivalent upon hire
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred
• Effective communication, visual acuity, and teamwork skills
• Vascular experience is a plus
