Physical Requirements
The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs advanced ultrasound imaging to assist in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions. This role requires technical proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment, providing high-quality diagnostic images, and delivering excellent patient care. Collaboration with healthcare professionals and effective communication are essential components of the position.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in imaging procedures.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Follow protocols and make adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to safety procedures, including radiation safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and care.
Graduation from a Sonography program with clinical hours or on-the-job training under a registered Preceptor. Certification through ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT, with eligibility to obtain registry if not already certified. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Knowledge of producing diagnostic images and recognizing abnormalities. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and kneeling.
